2020 Summer Schedule

DigiCamp - Fast Facts

Camps range from $365 to $650 per session. Prices are based on cost of materials, software, etc.  There are NO registration fees! EVER!

The earlier you register, the less you pay.  Prices increase as camp approaches. Register early for the best prices.

Instruction begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.

Morning drop off begins at 8:45 a.m. and afternoon pick up is from 3:00 to 3:15 p.m.

We offer morning and afternoon extended care options at a cost equal to $10 per hour. Morning care begins at 7:00 a.m. and afternoon care extends until 6:00 p.m. If you don't see the options you need, you can email Mark.

We offer camps for children ages 6 to 12. We divide our campers into age-appropriate groups to match curriculum and children - ages 6 to 8 and ages 9 to 12.

In each "session" we offer "camps" for each age group.
You will choose the sessions that best fits your camper's interests.
There is no minimum session requirement.

In the 14 years of Digi-Camp's existence, we have made only one schedule change that effected only one registrant, but in the spirit of full disclosure - Digi-Camp reserves the right to change camp prices and content based on demand, available space & equipment, and staffing structures. Campers that are already registered will NOT experience price increases for previously registered sessions. If content is changed, previously registered campers will be given first right of refusal and free session switches.

As you may know, our prices increase as camp dates get closer. We will NEVER offer a better price or bigger discount later on. That's unfair.

Register now, get the best price possible and DigiCamp offers free, unlimited session switches through the end of April 2020 (session space permitting).

If your summer plans change, we understand. At anytime between now and the end of April 2020, email us with your requested session switches and we can make the change for you with no administrative charge. Session switches must be executed for the same summer only. We do not offer session switches that roll into a different summer.

Keep in mind that session prices may differ, depending on materials and session sizes. This may cause a refund or an additional charge depending on the two sessions affected. Example: If you register for a session that costs $375 originally, and you switch into a session that includes a take home robot, and that session is $425 then there would be an additional $50 fee due. Conversely,  we would offer a refund or a credit if you switched from a more expensive session into a less expensive one.

Remember, we will not charge a change fee in these cases, so you can rest assured that you will get the best prices now and can change sessions should the need arise. Also, we NEVER charge a "registration fee." Those fees are grade A, top choice baloney and we don't like baloney.

Campers will learn to program using a wide range of coding platforms including Lego WeDo Robotics, Dash and Dot Robotics, and one of the most popular video game software packages available - developed by the engineers at MIT. This camp employs a split day format where campers get to spend the morning learning programming skills, and the afternoon is spent completing cooperative Minecraft challenges.

Ages 9-12

CodeMaster Level 1 & Minecraft Challenges

Campers will learn to program using  a wide range of coding platforms including one of the most popular video game software packages available - developed by the engineers at MIT. This camp employs a split day format where campers get to spend the morning learning programming skills, and the afternoon is spent completing cooperative Minecraft challenges.


Session 2 - June 15-19

Ages 6-8

CodeMaker Level 2 & Minecraft Camp

Campers will expand their knowledge of coding using robotics and by creating their own video games using one of the most popular video game software packages available - developed by the engineers at MIT. This camp employs a split day format where campers get to spend the morning learning/practicing programming skills, and the afternoon is spent completing cooperative Minecraft challenges.

Ages 9-12

CodeMaster Level 2 & Minecraft Challenges

Campers will build on their computer coding skills using Scratch, CodeBlocks, MakeCode and other coding apps, enabling them to actively develop the problem-solving skills and collaborative outlook necessary to become creators, not just consumers. This camp employs a split day format where campers get to spend the morning learning robotics and coding skills, and the afternoon is spent completing cooperative Minecraft challenges.


Session 3 - June 22-26

Ages 6-8

Creative Designer and Maker Camp 

This camp is for kids who like to make interesting, artistic, and technical inventions! We will make a variety of amazing projects that move, draw, fly, grab, and most of all make kids think. Campers will bring home quite a few projects including 3D prints, vinyl and laser cut prints, and more.

Ages 9-12

Python Coder - Code your own Raspberry Pi - Then take it home!

Campers will learn to program their own Raspberry Pi computer (which they will take home with them at the end of the week). Campers will learn how to program in Python to play games, interact with an included expansion board hosting lights, buttons, and sensors. This fun and challenging camp will expand kid’s understanding of how computers work and their coding skills. These skills will allow them to continue programming their new computer when they bring it home.


Session 4 - June 29-July 3

Ages 6-8

Lego WeDo Robotics, Coding & Minecraft Camp 

Campers will complete a series of challenges which require engineering, creativity, and imagination to solve problems using the LEGO WeDo robotics kits. WeDo helps teach how technology plays an active role in the students' everyday life and is an ideal product for teaching across different subjects at primary levels such as Literacy, Science, Mathematics, Technology and Engineering. This camp employs a split day format where campers get to spend the morning learning robotics and coding skills, and the afternoon is spent completing cooperative Minecraft challenges.

Ages 9-12

Creative Designer, Maker - Fabrication Camp 

This camp is for kids who like to make interesting, artistic, and technical inventions! We will make a variety of amazing projects that move, draw, fly, grab, and most of all make kids think. We will utilize our 3D printers & laser cutter this week to create cool things that your camper will take home. A variety of design tools will be utilized in the camp, including TinkerCad, CodeBlocks, TurtleBlocks, Graphic and more.


Session 5- July 6-10

Ages 6-8

Coding and Robotics with Sphero Bolt Robot

Our cars are driving themselves, our homes are automated - from the lights to the security systems - and our smart watches are telling us when to get up and move. All of these things are programmed by adults who learned robotics and programming at an early age. Our children deserve to be on the frontline of the tech revolution and robotics is where it all begins.

In this camp we will explore robotics using the Sphero Bolt robot. At the conclusion of the week campers will take home their own Bolt Robot.

Ages 9-12

Web Building with HTML, CSS & Javascript

Campers will learn to use the web to tell rich, interconnect stories using blogging, graphic design, animation and a wide variety of skills. We will teach the beginning levels of HTML, CSS and Javascript languages, as well as helping kids develop good clean graphic design skills!


Session 6 - July 13-17

Ages 6-8

Stop Motion Animation

Children are natural storytellers. They are imaginative, creative and unafraid - and that's what makes this camp so much fun!  Our campers learn to use the storytelling tools of storyboarding, scriptwriting and planning, Using webcams & the iStopMotion and iMovie software, campers will tell their stories using Lego, paper and pencil animation. Given enough time we may also delve into human animation.

Ages 9-12

Coding and Robotics with Sphero Rover & Minecraft Camp

Campers will program and expand their own take home Sphero Rover Robot.  This highly expandable platform is perfect for the beginner and advanced user alike. The introductory coding apps makes the robot easy to begin working with and the more advanced features make it a perfect fit for our children who are ready to take the next steps into robotics and coding.

At the conclusion of the session campers will take home their own Sphero Rover robot so they can continue to build, expand and program their robot to complete more complex tasks.


Session 7 - July 20-24

Ages 6-8

Maker Camp 

This camp is for kids who like to make interesting, artistic, and technical inventions! We will make a variety of amazing projects that move, draw, fly, grab, and most of all make kids think. Campers will bring home quite a few projects including 3D prints, vinyl and laser cut prints, and more.

Ages 9-12

Video & Digital Film Production

We will introduce your children to the world of digital video/film production. This session begins with a story. We support children's natural creativity by offering the chance to create their own video story. We provide the equipment and your children bring the ideas. We will utilize Adobe Premiere Pro software to teach beginning to advanced video editing techniques as well. Full disclosure: We do not allow violence, profanity, or weapons in our film camp. Children HAVE been allowed to bring Star Wars light sabres as props, but no toy guns, knives or the like


Session 8 - July 27-31

Ages 6-8

Jr. Robotics & Minecraft Camp 

It’s never too early for kids to learn programming and building skills! Our Jr. Robotics Camp will give 6 and 7 year old campers the opportunity to make simple robots perform complicated tasks in a fun and challenging way.  The week will focus on learning to program by using block-based coding languages to get their robots to complete a variety of missions. By the end of the week, campers will be creating their own challenges.

Ages 9-12

Build & Code Your Own Handheld Video Game

During this exciting week of camp, kids will get to build their own handheld gaming platform, and learn how to code their own games for it. Based on Microsoft Makecode, the new Makecode Arcade platform uses a programming language that can be coded using blocks (like Scratch) or using Javascript to create simple, fun, arcade-like games. The games can be created and played on a normal computer but can also be played on a handheld game platform complete with a full-color LCD screen, lots of control buttons,  and battery. Best of all, campers will take home their completed game and be able to plug it into their home computer and continue to write their own games!

* DigiCamp policy allows for session switches only. This policy does not permit cancellation and/or refunds. Further, if camp sessions are full we cannot open new seats for a camper who is attempting to switch into that full session.
