2023 Summer Camp

  • WHERE:
    • DigiCamp Summer Camp will be held on the beautiful campus of Grandview Prep School, 336 Spanish River Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33431
  • WHEN:
    • We have 9 sessions (weeks).
      • June 5th through August 4th.
  • TIME:
    • 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • COST:
    • $360 - DISCOUNTED TO $324 per session
      • Our mBot robotics sessions are discounted to $396 because campers bring home the mBot robot & some accessories.
      • The week of July 4th is discounted to $260 because of the holiday.
  • REGISTRATION MINIMUM:
    • No minimum required. You can enroll in only one week or as many weeks as you need.
  • REGISTRATION FEE:
    • There is NO registration fee - EVER!
  • AGES:
    • For children 6 to 14 years old.
    • When enrollment allows (more than 6 in each group), we will split up the campers into ages 6 to 9 and ages 10-14.
    • If enrollment is low, we will keep all campers together and still offer different challenges and projects for the students to create.
    • We always push campers to create at their highest possible level.

Campers will learn to program using a wide range of coding platforms, including one of the most popular video game software packages available, developed by engineers at MIT's Media Lab. This camp employs a split day format where campers get to spend the morning learning programming skills, and the afternoon is spent completing cooperative online game challenges.

Lego Spike Robotics - Level 1

Combining colorful LEGO building elements, easy-to-use hardware, and an intuitive drag-and-drop coding language based on Scratch, SPIKE Prime continuously engages students through playful learning activities to think critically and solve complex problems, regardless of their learning level. From easy-entry projects to limitless creative design possibilities, including the option to explore text-based coding with Python, SPIKE Prime helps students learn the essential STEAM and 21st century skills needed to become the innovative minds of tomorrow... while having fun!

Vex IQ Robotics - Level 1

Campers will be utilizing building, programming, and mechanical engineering skills to complete daily challenges with our Vex IQ robotics kits. Each day we will bring new and more complex challenges that will stretch students' abilities to new heights.  Each student will get to choose to work alone on their own robot (based on availability) or work with another camper.

Lego Spike Robotics - Level 2

We take the next steps in robotics by having students work together to not only build, but also program their builds to complete challenges each day in camp.  We will also utilize Dash and Dot robots this week. Students will drive their robots, as well as program their robots to complete increasingly difficult challenges.

Vex IQ Robotics - Level 2

Our Vex students will build, expand, program their robots to complete and compete using this year's Vex IQ Challenge.  That challenge will be released in April/May of 2023. We have all of the supplies your students will need.

3D Printing, Laser Cutting, & Engineering

Campers will work in 3D design software to create a wide range of things and projects to help solve problems. We have a  printer bank waiting for your children's work to print. We will also work with out Glowforge Laser Cutter.  Students will create a personalized pencil cup and a few other laser cut projects. Finally, the week will wrap up with some fun engineering challenges.

Note: We are closed July 4th for the Holiday. Cost is adjusted for this reason.

Campers will learn to write short stories using Pixar's "story spine," then capture and organize a stop motion short film.  Students will be given the choice to work in small groups, or alone. We will upload all projects to a Google Drive folder and share the folder with families at the conclusion of the camp.

Photography & Stop Motion Animation

Campers will learn to use digital cameras to capture beautiful photographs. We will teach students to utilize aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings to control light, depth of field and much more.

mBot Robotics

Campers will get their very own mBot robot, which they will build, program, expand, & change to complete our daily challenges. Campers will take their robot home on Friday!

Note: The cost of the camp is adjusted to include the cost of the robot that campers take home.
