2017 Spring Break Camp at Boca Raton
Spring Break Camp Dates: March 20th to 24th, 2017
This year we have four great camp offerings. Look through the list below and then choose the content in which you wish to enroll. All four camps will be very limited in size - 12 to 16 makers - with plenty of instructional support.
Camp dates: March 20-24
Camp times: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Extended care options are available at additional cost.)
Cost of Camp: $345-$375 - Camp prices vary based on materials and staffing needed for each camp. Early Bird Discounts are available.
The four camp offerings are:
- Video Game Programming and Minecraft Camp - Ages 7 -10
Campers will learn to program their own video games using one of the most popular video game software packages available - developed by the engineers at MIT. This camp employs a split day format where campers get to spend the morning learning video game programming skills, and the afternoon is spent completing cooperative Minecraft challenges.
- Lego Robotics Level 1 and Minecraft Camp - Ages 7 - 10
Campers will build and program Lego Mindstorms – designed to help students take ownership of the learning process, enabling them to actively develop the problem-solving skills and collaborative outlook necessary to become creators, not just consumers. This camp employs a split day format where campers spend the morning learning robotics and coding skills, & the afternoon is spent completing cooperative Minecraft challenges.
- Photography and Film Camp - Ages 10 - 14
This camp will include several days of photography - including several field trips to take beautiful photos, and visit a local museum - and several days film production. During film camp, campers will practice storyboarding, script writing, professional film techniques and much more.
- Engineers Camp - Ages 11 -14
This camp is hands-on with brand new engineering challenges. Campers will work individually, in pairs, and in small groups to solve a variety of engineering challenges. Campers will be divided into like-age groups and will be given appropriate challenges for their skill level.
