About Drone Camp
Too often kids are given toy drones as a gift, they get flown a few times, and then either they break or end up buried under all of the other toys that have become boring. Our Drone Camp will turn the toy drones into tools, while adding to the fun!
Your children will learn to fly and even program their drones while participating in a challenging sequence of missions and competitions with fellow campers. We will even teach campers to maintain and fix their drones so that when the week ends and the drones come home they will be used over and over.
This camp is for children ages 11 to 14.

Why drones, why Programming?
Computer programmers continue to top the list of top earners in the professional fields. Schools today are not equipped to teach high level coding skills and this has created a huge demand for programmers that isn't likely to be filled anytime soon. Children who learn programming now will be in a position to land high paying jobs in the future.
Drone camp is a prefect step-up tool to advanced coding for our soon to be app builders, web designers, robotic programmers! Your children will take home their drone where they can continue to develop programs, repair it and expand its capabilities.
Although it is not required, we do suggest your children, prior to this course, take our Video Game Programming, or similar course. That course will give your programming a firm footing for how programming works.
After taking our mBot course we try to point our 11 to 14 year old children in the direction of learning more complex computer coding though our Minecraft Modding course, Web Building, or our series of course in Rasperry Pi offered through our sister company Young Makers Lab.
