Grades 3 & 4

This is a great entry level or refresher course for students who want to learn and hone their coding skills using the most popular programming app on the planet - Scratch. We will have students creating their own video games, art and music projects, and much more. Program your future through computer coding!

Content is specifically designed for grades 3 & 4, to maintain age-appropriate expectations.

Take your coding skills to the next level. Students will engage in digital storytelling and puzzle making using Scratch. This course requires a dynamic working knowledge of Scratch. If you have limited experience with Scratch, we suggest the Computer Programming w/ Scratch course first.

Content is specifically designed for grades 3 & 4, to maintain age-appropriate expectations.

We all love stories, and children love to tell them more than anything. Our Stop Motion Animation course will combine the fun of storytelling with our digital world.

Content is specifically designed for grades 3 & 4, to maintain age-appropriate expectations.

This session is for kids who like to make interesting, artistic, and technical inventions! We will make a variety of amazing projects including 3D prints and laser cut prints. At the end of this session, you will want to check your mailbox for a few days as we will be mailing your creative works to you as we complete the fabrication.

Content is specifically designed for grades 3 & 4, to maintain age-appropriate expectations.

Enter the world of electronics and microcontroller programming with our introductory camp. We will learn the basics of circuit design by simulating circuits on Tinkercad Circuits, and then building them and coding them to be interactive on a Micro:Bit microcontroller. We will code light displays, games, and other fun projects together online, and leave students with skills and ideas to continue working with these tools after the camp is over.

Campers will be sent a Micro:bit microprocessor board, along with a kit of electronics parts that they will use to build circuits both independent of and connected to the Micro:bit.

Content is specifically designed for grades 5 through 7, to maintain age-appropriate expectations.

Campers who attended our Electronics with Micro:bit Level 1 Camp can continue their learning by using the same coding and building skills on a robotic rover. Working together online, we will assemble our own Micro:bit controlled robot and teach it to follow lines, lights, draw pictures, and more. Campers can continue coding and building on their robot when camp is over.

Campers will be sent a robot kit that the Micro:bit board from the Level 1 class will plug into and control.

Content is specifically designed for grades 5 through 7, to maintain age-appropriate expectations.

Grades 8 through 12

Students will learn how to use the languages of the Web (HTML and CSS) to build fun, compelling and beautiful web pages. Students need to have a working knowledge of basic coding skills learned in our Computer Programming courses.

Students in this course will learn programming fundamentals and basic object-oriented concepts using the latest JavaScript syntax. JavaScript is among the most powerful and flexible programming languages of the web.

Campers will learn basic electronics by simulating circuits using an online tool, and then building them using a variety of electronic components. We will learn about different types of circuits, Ohm’s law, and components like LEDs, resistors, capacitors, buzzers, transistors, light sensors, and more!

Campers will be sent an electronics kit to use during this camp.

Content is specifically designed for grades 8 through 12, to maintain age-appropriate expectations.

We will extend on the circuit projects from Level 1 Electronics, adding a microcontroller programmed with MicroPython along with some additional input and output devices to make games, soundFX devices, and other interactive projects. Campers will use and add to the equipment and skills from the Level 1 Electronics.

Students will need to have been enrolled in our Level 1 course.
