Intro to Computer Programming & Robotics

In this workshop students will make video games & more on Scratch. Students create their own Scratch coding accounts and make some very cool games, art & music projects, as well as learn & practice digital storytelling through Scratch. In April & May we will build robotic contraptions and solve increasingly complex problems. During this time, students will have a chance to learn & practice robotics with our Vex IQ Robotics kits. You children will love working with Mark and Alyssa at DigiCamp.

We will meet on Wednesdays: When school is open, now through May 22nd.

Instructors:
Mark Stansell – A classroom teacher since 1991, I have taught grades kindergarten through grade 12. I love technology almost as much as I love being a teacher. I operate the makerspace at Grandview Prep, teaching grades 3 through 12.

Alyssa Stansell – The lead instructor at DigiCamp since 2016, Alyssa loves helping students succeed and grow into the tech creators of the future. She currently coaches the Vex robotics teams at Grandview and works with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, teaching robotics, computer coding, makerspace tools & tech.
