A Typical Day at DigiCamp

While not all days follow this schedule exactly, below generally details what we do on a daily basis.

9:00 to 9:45 a.m. – Morning instruction: Main instructors demonstrate skills and challenges needed for the morning activities. In video game programming they would show the campers how to make their games do certain things. (coding instruction.) For robotics or video production we would show the campers how to build or program their robot, or for Video, get a certain shot, or how to write a script and story using the Pixar story spine, etc.

9:45 – 11:15 a.m. – Campers work in groups or on their own completing the challenge or work for that morning. In video game programming we might ask them to create an enemy in their game that clones itself at a certain interval. In photography we might ask campers to take some pictures demonstrating the rule of thirds, leading lines or utilizes light in a particular way. Camp assistants and instructors will be with campers at all times offering help where needed.

11:15 – 12:00 – Lunch & playground time – Campers bring their own lunch. Weather permitting we would have outdoor playtime – right behind our doors.

12:15 – 1:00 – Another instructional block with a new challenge and/or a review of what the morning produced. Sometimes we have campers share what they have been working on that day.

1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – Campers continue to work on their projects with a great deal of support from our staff.
